How to make ribs on a chargriller.

First, buy some ribs. They are gross at first. Bloody and fatty. Get a knife and scrape the white membrane/fat off the back side. Apply a rub. Sugar, salt, garlic, that's the basics of it. Massage that into the ribs.

Heat the grill to about 250. Use the indirect/ smoking method to cook.

Spray the ribs with a water and vinegar mop every half hour. Let them cook for 3 hours....

Now, here's the tricky part. Summon the worst storm in a decade to hit as the ribs are due to come off the grill. Use a friend and a pair of umbrellas to remove the ribs.

Seriously, what a storm. First of all, thank you God that everyone I know is ok and my house isn't leveled.

The storm had winds clocked at 90 mph tonight. It was crazy. There's a 75 ft maple tree (I have no idea if its really 75 feet, but its huge) that was being bent at about a 40 degree angle. There was another tree in the neighbors back yard that is about 20 feet tall and 10 inches in diameter that was laying on their garage during the storm.

It was like watching Dateline after a hurricane, seeing their human interest story about the storm....You know what I am talking about. The story where a palm tree is bent over like a its made of rubber and Brian Williams says something like, "Watch as we tell you how this family saved Christmas from the forces of Hurricane Umberto" type things.

But the coolest thing during the storm was seeing how the neighborhood's stray German Shepard found an awning to hide under. Like God protected that Dog, and made that intelligent enough to hide.

So sometimes I freak out about crap. More than sometimes I guess. But seeing God take care of that stupid dog was comforting. Like God cares about it, and I'm way more precious to God than that Dog. So I mean, don't worry- God has it.

Its easy to blog that, but not as easy to believe it. I'm working on it though.

(Does anyone know how to end a blog post well?)
Thanks to my brother for the pic. What a storm.
